I have been asking who the 3 Sisters are for years now! I’ve always imagined “them” as being some cranky, sinister, old chain-smoking hippie man that Moda’s afraid to unleash at quilt market. Maybe they will unveil their identities officially before I die. I have my eye on that opening day pattern for 2011 – if you don’t mind, I’m going to link to your photo in a blog post I have queued up for this week. Hope your year is off to a great start!!
That is just beautiful. I have made Opening Day, and love it so much that I think I should make it again with different fabrics!
Hello Wendy – oh I recognize that quilt! – I’ve made the very same one myself. It’s waiting on my machine quilting pile as I write and I hope to get to it very soon – it’s a great pattern!
Beautiful quilt!! I’ve been racking my brain for a pattern for my Aster Manor bundle. I may have to copy yours. Just gorgeous!
Wendy, I know who 3 Sisters are!!!
Go to their website: http://www.threesistersfabric.com and you can read about them and see pictures of them!
They really are three sisters and they really are Amish or Mennonite (I am not sure which).
Oh and Katie’s quilt is looking really nice… can’t wait to see it all done!
This pattern is one of my favorites and it is perfect in the aster manor fabrics!
Wendy that is beautiful.
This quilt is looking great! Love the look of the border! 😎
